Trucks filling trench Plaisance railway

Sand trucks were seen filling up this major trench alongside the Plaisance Railway Embankment yesterday and residents of the area have expressed concern. Overseer at the Neighbourhood Democratic Council’s office, which is visible at far right in photo, said that the persons responsible were given permission by the Public Works Ministry to fill the trench. Efforts to contact Minister Robeson Benn for a comment yesterday proved futile. (Photo by Jules Gibson)
