Condolences from Grenada

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Guyanese community in Grenada, I would like to extend deepest sympathy to the relatives and friends of those who lost their lives at the hands of those maniacs last Saturday. In the face of such grief and trauma, I know words are poor comfort right now. It’s hard to believe that God is near when such brutality occurs but He is and He is a God of justice.

These criminals think they have the upper hand but they have robbed themselves of something vital – what it feels like to live as free men. I want to encourage my fellow Guyanese to be strong. Good will surely triumph over evil in the end.

Yours faithfully,

D Chanderpaul-Singh
