Larceny accused claims loot stolen from him

An 18-year-old boy, who allegedly broke and entered his neighbour’s home and stole a quantity of cash then reportedly had it stolen from him, was remanded to prison yesterday when he appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

Ferdinand Gordon of Pike Street, Sophia, pleaded not guilty to break and enter and larceny.

Gordon is accused of breaking into the home of Nicola Grosvenor and stealing $100,000 on April 6.
Police Prosecutor Denise Griffith told the court that Gordon had told the police that after he stole the money, he hid it under a board under his front steps, but when he went to retrieve it, it was missing.

The magistrate subsequently ordered that Gordon be remanded to prison and transferred the case to Court Six for April 22.
