According to an official of the Knight Rider Liner bus service, the company dropped off some passengers at Parika, East Bank Essequibo yesterday around lunchtime and was proceeding to the city when the vehicle’s fuel pump developed problems. He said the bus remained immovable on the DHB until after 4 pm when the problem was temporarily fixed. The bus was then driven over the bridge to Peter’s Hall amid traffic congestion at both sides of the DHB, the official related.

When Stabroek News visited the DHB yesterday afternoon, the bus operator along with two mechanics was attempting to fix the problem. The bus was parked close to the exit point on the eastern end of the DHB at Peter’s Hall.
