Dear Editor,
Well done, Guyana Police Force (SN 12.2.09) for displaying the courage and fortitude in charging some of your colleagues for allegedly demanding bribes from members of the public.
For many years, the question of ‘who will police the police’ was being asked; hopefully that question has been answered.
The action by the Commissioner of Police, should send a signal to all persons holding public office, that no one is above the law. It is therefore imperative that the administration take a leaf from his book and do likewise.
The misguided ranks who staged a brief protest should be penalized for their mutinous conduct.
