The police this evening announced that they had apologized to Michelle Baldeo, the owner of a building at Farm, East Bank Demerara that they had searched and ransacked on Monday while she was not at home.
A report on the search was carried in Tuesday’s edition of SN.
Eve Leary said: “Reference to a report in the print and the electronic media as it relates to a police operation on Monday October 11, 2010 at Farm East Bank Demerara, the Guyana Police Force wishes to apologise to the owner of the building Ms. Michelle Baldeo for the damage and inconvenience caused. This is as a result of a mistake. Today the force effected repairs to the building.”
