According to the invitation, the event will be held at the Savor Restaurant  at 2406 18th St NW, Washington DC and is being organized by the North American Arm of Harding’s campaign. It is being billed as the North American campaign launch and as a ‘special political discussion’. Issues to be addressed are Guyana’s political process, crime, corruption, education, business, opportunities, the local economy and quality life. Special guest speaker is expected to be Maureen Bunyan, an inductee into the Hall of Fame of the Washington Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

A similar event is planned for December 19 at the Steiner Studios, Stage 6, 15 Washington Ave, Brooklyn Navy Yard, New York, 11205.

Harding, who served as minister of state in the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development as well as the minister of public service in the Desmond Hoyte administration, announced her intention to run for the candidacy in October from Sudan where she was holding a UN post.
