Several members of a family, including children were this morning left homeless after their Third Street, Grove, East Bank Demerara home went up in flames.
Stabroek News was told that at around 2 am the house, which was said to be in a dilapidated condition, was totally destroyed and the house next door was also scorched. According to reports while several children lived in the house with adults none of the children was at home at the time.
It is not clear what triggered the fire but an investigation has been launched.
