Five in race to be PNCR presidential nominee

The People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) today released the six names approved as nominees as the party’s presidential candidate.

PNCR Chairman Bishwaishwar `Cammie’ Ramsaroop’s name was announced among the nominees at a press conference at Congress Place today, but he has since withdrawn.

The five nominees going forward are early contenders, David Granger; Dr. Faith Harding; Basil Williams; Carl Greenidge and attorney-at-law James Bond. It was the first known mention of Bond’s name, but he had been a supporter in the late Winston Murray’s camp.
