The police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 8.30 pm yesterday at Long Creek, Soesdyke/Linden Highway, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Eddie Williams, 18 years of Long Creek.
Investigations revealed that motor car PFF 6707 was proceeding along the roadway when it is alleged that Williams attempted to cross the road and was struck down. He was taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The driver of the motor car is in police custody assisting with the investigations, police say.
