Two women were shot around 9.50 pm on Quamina Street in a domestic altercation gone horribly wrong, according to reports reaching Stabroek News.
Reports identify the wounded as Sharon Taylor who was shot in her belly and her sister Cheryl Richards who was reportedly shot in the face. This newspaper has learnt that the women have been rushed to the operating theatre at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
According to reports the shooting occurred in the vicinity of the Quamina Guest House and the shooter has been identified as a relative of Taylor’s. The man is said to have fled the scene in his car with two children. (More later.)
