One of Ogle’s runways closed because of flood water

One of the two runways at the Ogle Airport has been closed as a result of water accumulation over the past twenty four hours.
Airport manager Anthony Mekdeci told Stabroek News at lunch today that there are three pumps being used to drain water off of the airfield.
As much as ten inches of water has been recorded at the airport as at lunch today.
Some East Coast villages mainly along the railway embankment are still under water.
