The police are investigating an armed robbery on Barrack Street, Kingston at about 12 45 pm today on Nazeela Sookhdeo and her husband Mahendra Sookhdeo of Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice in which $400,000 and a quantity of foreign currency was stolen.
Two men carried out the attack and one of them was armed with a handgun.
Investigations revealed that the victims were about to enter a business place when the suspects held them at gun point and took away Nazeela Sookhdeo’s hand bag and a bag from their motor vehicle. They then escaped in a waiting car.
