(De Ware Tijd) PARAMARIBO – Yesterday, Integra Port Services (IPS) officially put into operation its third mobile container crane. This will make the loading and unloading of vessels at the Nieuwe Haven more efficient and faster. While ships used to wait nearly 36 hours to be processed, this time has now been cut to 12 hours. Meanwhile the Nieuwe Haven has moved into the number one position in the region with regard to the handling of ships.
