Bishop, 20, of Weston, St James was identified by her mother.

Early last week, police had posted a missing woman bulletin for Bishop.

The alarm was raised around 7.15 when the body, clad in a black tee shirt and tights, with a burgundy weave, was found by a passerby close to a track which links Thyme Bottom with Parish Land.

The police quickly cordoned off the area as hundreds of individuals went to the area to get a glimpse of the body.

A post mortem is to be conducted on the body to determine the cause of death.
