Passengers in crash landing given US$500 by CAL

Caribbean Airlines Chairman, George Nicholas 111 has told the Trinidad Guardian that the airline has given each of the passengers in Saturday’s horrific crash-landing at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri US$500 ($10o,000).

He told today’s Guardian that CAL had assisted the affected passengers from the Guyana “crash” with a US$500 allowance to fund any necessities. He said T&T’s consul in Guyana would also be assisting them and added that CAL is dealing with the passengers’ situations and providing a means of comfort as needed.
