The police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 10.15 last night at Canal No. 2, West Bank Demerara, and which resulted in the death of Deonauth Seegobin, 45 years, of South Section, Canal, No. 2.
Investigations revealed that Seegobin was allegedly lying on the roadway and was run over by a motor vehicle. He was taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where he was pronounced DOA.
The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
