(Trinidad Express) A father of three was shot dead at the corner of Cedar Hill Road and the Southern Main Road, Claxton Bay, on Saturday night by a motorcyclist.
Satyam Nanan, 30, of Cedar Hill Trace was killed as he was walking towards his parked motor vehicle.
Satyam is the father of two boys and one girl and his wife is expected to deliver another child next week, relative said.
Police said shortly after 7.p.m., Nanan was ambushed and shot multiple times. He slumped to the ground and died at the scene.
Nanan’s killing is the third murder to occur since the Government announced a state of emergency throughout the country on August 21.
Claxton Bay falls under the Couva policing district which is not one of six communities affected by curfew restrictions in six areas described as crime hot spots.
