Guyanese charged in Belize over crack cocaine

A 35-year-old Guyanese Muhammed Gazznabi has been charged in Belize over crack cocaine, according to the news website, Love FM.com.

The report said that the construction worker of Matron Roberts Street who allegedly had 1.2 grammes of crack cocaine was charged with drug trafficking when he appeared in court. According to the report Gazznabi wanted to plead guilty but it was not accepted. He pleaded not guilty to drug trafficking and he was released on a bail of five thousand dollars.

His case, the report said, was adjourned until November 11. The incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. on October 8. According to reports, Gazznabi was walking on Kelly Street when he encountered a police mobile patrol and he was seen throwing an object on the street.
