A man was shot after bandits invaded his home at Goedverwagting, East Coast Demerara on Christmas Eve.
The police said in a press release issued yesterday that food vendor Babalyn Cozier, 48 and Trenton Benn, 57, were at home at Goedverwagting, when two men armed with firearms entered through an open door and held them up.
The men then ransacked the place and took away jewellery, two cell phones, and $155,000. They also shot Benn to his left leg and escaped. Benn has been admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital. Investigations are continuing.
