A mother of four was early this morning shot in her shoulder allegedly by her reputed husband who is on the run.
The bullets pierced 33-year-old Karen Kerr’s intestines and lungs. This morning she completed a successful surgery at a private hospital and doctors are closely monitoring her condition.
Kerr’s sister, Caroline Welcome who lives in the bottom flat of the couple’s 309 Rohinital Street Prashad Nagar home said that she heard gunshots followed by strange noises and talking just after 2 am.
Thinking it was a robbery, Welcome said she peeped out but saw nothing.
She later looked though a front window and saw her brother in law Gavin Joseph called ‘Blacks’ pacing in front of the gate.
Welcome said she inquired from the man what had happened and he said “ah gon tell you the truth. Ah just shot yuh sister but whey ah shoot she nah gon dead”.
Moments after saying that he left on foot.
Welcome pleaded with Joseph who is a miner and licensed firearm holder to turn himself in.
