Police say that at about 0645h. today, workers on a foreign registered vessel moored at the Demerara Shipping Company Wharf, Water Street, Georgetown, observed a haversack concealed under a built-in crane on the boat.
The police were informed and on checking the haversack was found to contain a total of 6 kgs. of suspected cocaine. No arrest has been made and the vessel was subsequently released.
