Demerara Bank Limited today warned the public to be on the look out for forged manager’s cheques.
In a notice appearing in today’s edition of the Guyana Times, the bank said that it had come across four “bogus/fabricated” manager’s cheques.
It said that it appears that “person(s) are defrauding merchants by scanning the signatures of our officials onto bogus” manager’s cheques.
It cautioned the public to be on the alert.
