The police say that four men were today charged and placed before the court following investigations into an incident that occurred on November 23, 2011, at Non Pariel, ECD, during which three youths were assaulted by residents.
Nazeem Abdool, 32 years of Coldingen, ECD, has been charged with unlawful wounding and assault causing actual bodily harm; while Jeremy Sarjoo, 27 years, and Kulwant Sewnarine, 44 years, of Non Pariel, ECD, along with Parmanand Ramnauth, 30 years of Enterprise, ECD, were charged with unlawful wounding.
They appeared before Magistrate Ms. N. Hatmin at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court where they were remanded to prison until December 30, 2011.
