Mohanram leads Max Masters to victory

Danny Mohanram stroked  a century to lead Max Masters to victory when the Stag Beer and El Dorado Rum nationwide softball tournament continued last Sunday at various venues.

Mohanram  scored 106  as Max Masters reached  237 for 4 off 25 overs against Shattaville, who, in reply,  could only  muster 25 all out with Tony Sigh taking three wickets for three runs.

And, Digital Technology defeated Brushie XI by the huge margin of 134 runs with Ricky Sargeant 56 top scoring for Digital Technology. Brushie XI was eventually bowled out for 76 runs.

On the distaff side Mahaica Princesses edged Hot Shots by one run.

The Princesses reached a meagre 72 all out but bowled efficiently to hold Hot Shots to 71 for 9 off their allotted 10 overs.

And 4R Lioness made easy work of Sleep Inn scoring 165 for 1 off 10 overs before putting Sleep Inn to bed at 53 for 7 off 10 overs.

Meanwhile, the male over-40 quarterfinals will be played tomorrow while  the male Open quarterfinals and semifinals will be played on May 22.

The female quarterfinals will also be played on May 22.

The semifinals and finals for the male Open and Over-40 along with the semi-finals and finals for the females is set for the Georgetown Cricket Club Ground, Bourda for  May 29, starting from 09:00hrs.
