Police say that at about 0300h. today, attorney Gomattie Singh, 52 years, and Krishna Persaud of Prashad Nagar, Georgetown; along with taxi-driver Seenauth Ramroop, 36 years, were attacked and robbed by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
Police say that investigations revealed that the victims had arrived at Prashad Nagar from the CJIA, and as they exited the vehicle they were held at gunpoint by the perpetrators who took away a suitcase with clothing and other articles, a quantity of jewellery, three cell phones, US$5,000, CDN$200, TT$125 and personal documents and escaped in a waiting motor car.
Investigations are in progress.
