(Trinidad Express) A single mother was stabbed to death early yesterday evening.
Police reports are that Wendy Arjoon, 35, was last seen talking to a man she regularly meets at Eddie’s Café at Penal Rock Road— the place where the stabbing took place at around 2.05 p.m.
The café’s owner said he saw Arjoon speaking to the man. The owner said he left the room for a short while and when he returned, he saw Arjoon lying on the floor and bleeding.
He called residents who called the police. Arjoon was taken to the Siparia District Health Facility where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Arjoon lived at Pallita Trace, Morne Diablo.
Police who are searching for a 49-year-old suspect, said Arjoon was stabbed five times in the back and upper chest.
Investigations are being headed by PC Bahadeo of the Penal Police Station.
