Ministry urges end to cable vandalism

The Ministry of Home Affairs today said it has taken note of incidents of vandalism of cables of the Guyana Telephone & Telegraph Company (GT&T) by unscrupulous persons for the purpose of acquiring copper.

The Ministry said that cognizant of the implications of downed telephone lines, it wishes to urge persons to desist from this criminal activity and to warn that serious action will be taken against anyone caught vandalizing telephone cables.
