The police today said that at about 0730h yesterday, Richard Barrow of Smythfield, New Amsterdam, was shot and injured to his left arm by the police during efforts to arrest him.
Police say that Barrow was wanted for questioning in relation to a series of armed robberies and escape from lawful custody.
He is under guard at the New Amsterdam Hospital.
