Sophia woman was strangled -post-mortem

A post-mortem examination was today performed on the body of Shoala Gilgeous of South Sophia, Georgetown, by Government Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh who gave the cause of death as manual strangulation compounded by blunt trauma to the head, police said.

Gilgeous’ body was found in her home on Sunday August 26, 2012.

A man has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigation.
