Linden probe commissioners sworn-in

Four of the commissioners who will be investigating the July 18 shooting to death by police of three Linden protesters were sworn-in today by President Donald Ramotar at the Office of the President.

The four are: former Justice of Appeal Claudette Singh, Justice Lensley Wolfe and Senior Counsel K.D. Knight of Jamaica and Senior Counsel Dana Seetahal of Trinidad and Tobago. Missing is former Chancellor of the Judiciary, Cecil Kennard who is abroad at the moment. Justice Wolfe will be chairing the Commission.

The Commissioners are expected to engage with the public tomorrow. It is yet unclear what form this will take or where. The Commissioners are to spend today getting familiar with their task and finalising arrangements.
