Grenada opposition on verge of clean sweep

The main opposition New National Party (NNP) was on the verge of repeating the results of the 1999 general election when it won all 15 seats, the Caribbean Media Corporation reported last night.

Preliminary results issued here up to press time last night showed that the NNP, headed by former prime minister Dr Keith Mitchell, had won 12 seats, including that of several government ministers, CMC said.
