At about 0730h today, the police FN Rifle that was taken away from a Constable during an armed robbery at the Wismar Post Office yesterday was recovered off the roadway in the vicinity of the “Millie’s Hideout” turn leading into Linden, police said today.
The magazine and ammunition were not recovered.
The Guyana Police Force wishes to express its appreciation to the citizens of the Linden community who assisted with the investigations and led to the quick recovery of the firearm, the police said.
