Timehri woman denies lifting underwear from store

A woman was yesterday charged after allegedly stealing underwear from the Ashmins Store.

Thia Dotson, a Timehri resident, who appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, denied the charge that she stole four pairs of panties, valued $420 and a brassiere, valued at $840, from the Lot 48 High Street, Werk–en–Rust store.

Prosecutor Vernette Pindar had no objections to bail, which was set at $5,000 and the case was adjourned until July 29, when it will be called at Court 10.
