The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday announced the launch of its new website and online advertising service at www.gcci.gy.
A release from the GCCI said that the new website offers quick and easy access to relevant and timely information on the Chamber and represents its objective and ongoing efforts to increase its visibility and to provide an up-to-date repository of information for members of the local and international public. The new website also provides information for potential investors.
In the release the GCCI said, “There are many new features to the website, including information about upcoming projects and discussion forums. In today’s internet oriented world, we want our members, advertisers and the public at large to know that they can rely on us 24-hours a day, all year round for up-to-date information. The website is also integrated to social network sites, such as YouTube and Facebook, and allows for information to be easily shared with a broader audience.”
It said that the chamber is encouraging the public to browse the site which will be updated with new content on a regular basis and where the public can offer comments for discussion and action. It said that other benefits of the site include a video and photo gallery, event calendar, membership directory and a vacancy/employment section with listings from the chamber’s membership.
The website also has copies of the Chamber’s latest publications such as the recently launched Business Guyana Magazine 2013 and Competitiveness Manifesto, for the public to peruse.
