New seasoning product hits markets

Continental Agencies Limit-ed yesterday begin the distribution of a new product called ‘MaDish’, produced by Aji-no-moto Brazil and marketed by Aji-no-moto Nigeria.

According to a press release, MaDish, a combination of two words ‘Mama’ and ‘Dish,’ is a flavour seasoning that comes in a powder form in three different flavours: MaDish Classic, MaDish Stew and MaDish Soup.

It said that the company guarantees that MaDish gives food a complete taste and aroma; it provides attractive colour to stew and is easy to use as it dissolves easily.

The company said Aji-no-moto confirms that Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is an ingredient in MaDish and has been safely used as a food ingredient since 1909.

Because of “common misconceptions”, it said, MSG is one of the most thoroughly tested of all food ingredients, with hundreds of scientific studies confirming its safe and effective use. It said that MSG’s safety has been repeatedly affirmed by regulators around the world.

It said all Guyanese, including vegetarians to feel safe using the product when cooking and enjoying the taste.

The release said the MaDish product will be available at all leading supermarkets.
