Bids for NDIA earthworks equipment soar over engineer’s estimate

Two contractors bidding to source earthworks equipment for the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA) yesterday submitted quotes that were at least $70M higher than government’s estimated cost for the contract.

Tenders for the only two companies that submitted bids for the project were yesterday opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) offices at Main Street, Georgetown.
