Abrams found the back of net on either side of halftime in the 38th and 79th minutes while Andrew Murray Jr., and Dwight Peters completed the result with goals in the 30th and 47th minutes respectively.

The opening period began with the West Ruimveldt side firing the first shot on goal in the sixth minute through their captain Phillip Rowley.

Picking up the in the centre of the field just outside the box, Rowley would unleash a flat right footed shot that went just wide of the left upright.

Alpha would begin to assert themselves and they almost broke the deadlock in the 14th minute but Abrams struck his right footed shot from a left sided corner kick straight at left fullback Trevon Lythcott who was guarding the right post.

Alpha would not be denied as Murray Jr., broke the deadlock, placing his right footed strike inside the centre of the 18-yard box down the middle of the goal after receiving a headed pass back across the left side of the goal from Gregory `Jackie Chan’ Richardson.

The lead would be doubled eight minutes later through a moment of absolute magic from Abrams.

Attacking the goal from the left side of box, Abrams would flick the ball over the onrushing custodian Derick Carter before dribbling the final defender Lythcott and finishing to the bottom of the woodwork.

Murray Jr., almost made it 3-0 in the 43rd minute as he struck the left upright with a left footed strike from inside the centre of the penalty area after evading two defenders with tricky footwork.

Two minutes into the second period saw Alpha further increasing their advantage as Peters found the back of the net, tapping home to the bottom left hand corner after collecting a right sided squared pass from Richardson.

Playing provider for two of his side’s three goals, Richardson almost added his name to the scorer’s sheet in the 57th minute, only for his effort to roll just wide of the left post after dribbling two defenders on the right side of the penalty area.

Hardly troubled throughout the matchup, Alpha goalkeeper Richie Richards would be forced to make a low save to his right, denying a Dwayne Ali right footed strike in the 71st minute.

Abrams would complete a deserved double, outsprinting centre half Ryan Adolph to latch onto a Manasseh Primo through pas before beating the advancing Carter low to his left with a right footed effort.

It went from bad to worse for the West Ruimveldt side as centre back Solomon Austin was shown a straight red card in the 85th minute for intentionally denying a clear goal scoring opportunity on Primo just outside the box.

Tasked with taking the resulting spot kick, defender Selwyn Isaacs almost made it an embarrassing 5-0 as his right footed freekick came crashing off the crossbar with Carter rooted to the spot.

In the earlier matchup, Santos FC edged Linden unit Milerock FC 5-4 on kicks from the penalty mark following a locked 0-0 score line at the end of regulation time.
