At about 2300h. last night, police say that Lester Cummings, 46 years, of No. 8 Village, WCB, was aroused by a man who was armed with a handgun, and who demanded cash and jewellery. During the incident the man discharged a round which hit Cummings to his face, after which he escaped.
Cummings has been admitted to the New Amsterdam Hospital for medical treatment, as the investigations continue.
