A Post Mortem Examination (PME) was today performed on the body of Shelly Persaud of Friendship, EBD, by Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh who gave the cause of death as drowning due to a compression injury to the neck, the police said.

The body of Persaud was found at her home with her head submerged in a container of water yesterday June 10, 2014.
