At about 0355h. today police say that Godfrey Marks, 43 years, of Lower Kara Kara Squatting Area, Linden, was confronted by four men as he went to check on the barking of dogs in the neighbourhood.
During this, he was shot to his left shoulder by one of the men and they entered his home and demanded valuables.
Marks’ wife and nine-year-old son were assaulted by the perpetrators who escaped empty-handed.
Marks is being treated at the Mackenzie Hospital, Linden.
