At about 0530h. today police say that Romel Mendonca, 32 years, of Arau Landing, Wenamu River, was involved in an argument at Arau with another man who is reported to have shot him to his neck and escaped.
Mendonca has been admitted to hospital for medical treatment.
Investigations are in progress.
