Amid great anticipation over the results of the 2015 general elections, the Guyana Elections Commission has set a press conference for midday.
It is expected that GECOM will provide a final count on all polling stations from Monday’s elections. It is unclear whether there will be an official declaration of who the winner is.
There is also expected to be greater clarity on whether recounts called for by the PPP/C have been done or the requests have been rejected by the various Returning Officers.
