PPP/C parliamentarians walked out of Parliament this afternoon even as debate on the 2015 National Budget continued but returned shortly after.
As Minister of Social Protection Volda Lawrence rose to speak, the opposition parliamentarians got up from their seats and walked out. Their reason for doing so was not clear and the opposition MPs refused to comment when approached by reporters. PPP/C MP Indra Chandarpal made her presentation just before the walkout.
