Tenders were opened on Tuesday for the acquisition of spares for the Transport and Harbours Department’s fleet of aged vessels.
Only recently government announced that it will leasing a new vessel for the Georgetown to Region 1 route and promised that by 2017 there will be two new ships for that route.
The bids for the supply of spares for the TH&D vessels were opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board, Georgetown and are shown in the table below.
