President David Granger has extended condolences to Leader of the Opposition, former President, Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, whose sister, Oma “Shanta” Jagdeo, died yesterday.
The President, in a letter addressed to Dr. Jagdeo, said, “The loss of a loved one, especially someone who has been devoted to your care and well-being for almost your entire life, is always a painful experience. I pray that God’s comforting Grace will be with you in this your moment of grief.”
Granger also extended condolences on behalf of the Government of Guyana to all family members during this time of bereavement.
