The Police are investigating the murder of Pooman Baljeet of Madewini, East Bank Demerara, which occurred about 2100h, yesterday.
Investigations revealed that the deceased’s parents heard sounds coming from his bedroom and upon checking, discovered him lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds.
He was rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, and pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor. Investigators have recovered a twelve-inch knife from the scene.
No arrests have been made and investigations are in progress.
