Five Canadian women held with liquid cocaine in Jamaica

(Jamaica Observer) POLICE from Sangster International Airport, the Narcotics Police Division, and personnel from the Canine Division arrested five women who were allegedly held with liquid cocaine while attempting to board a flight on Wednesday.

Police said about 7:15 pm the five women, who are all Canadian nationals, checked in to board a flight destined to Canada when their belongings were searched and 14 bottles of liquid cocaine allegedly found in their possession. Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations

The women are scheduled to be interviewed and thereafter charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine, and taking steps preparatory to the export of cocaine.

The narcotics police are continuing their investigations.
