Family seeks help to find missing girl, 13

A family is now pleading with the public and authorities to assist in locating a 13-year-old girl, who has not been seen since Wednesday.

Nea Fordyce, of 3373 Caneview Avenue, South Ruimveldt, was last seen by family leaving her home around 8:15am on Wednesday morning to go her school, Tucville Secondary.

Wheatland Fordyce, Nea’s father, told Stabroek News yesterday that he last saw his daughter leaving to go take a bus to go to school. He said that she has never been missing before and he isn’t aware of any reason why she would want to stay away from home. He also said that while she would usually have football practice at school in the afternoon, he had stopped her from attending since she would return home late.

Fordyce said that when he inquired at her school, he learnt that there was half day on Wednesday and as a result she had left at 1pm. However, the girl was seen in a route 41 (South) bus sometime around 3.15pm.

She was clad in her school uniform.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to call Fordyce on 686-1000, 669-5391, 624-3939, 627-4507 or contact the nearest police station.
