Nestle in ‘do good’ campaign

Nestlé is continuing a nationwide campaign aimed at promoting not only doing some good, but also giving persons a ‘feel good’ boost, a release from the company said.

Titled ‘Do Some Good’, Nestle launched the campaign on June 3 at the Berbice Bus Park with what it called Guyana’s first National Day of Goodness, a day set aside by the company to give back to the community through random acts of kindness. Through its distributor DSL the campaign has continued in supermarkets nationwide and will close on July 30.

The National Day of Goodness saw the Nestlé Svelty Milk team, accompanied by local media personality Feliz Robertson take to the Berbice Bus Park meeting and greeting members of the public. The release said that the team sponsored bus fares, distributed balloons and chocolates and offered healthy milkshakes from Nestlé Svelty Milkshake stations, all free of charge.

Persons were also invited to sign a Do Some Good board with their pledge to do some good for their friends, families and the community.

The campaign has taken place nationwide through the affiliate supermarkets of Nestle’s Distributor, DSL, including Beepat’s and Massy Stores. In-store, consumers were also greeted with Nestlé Svelty Milkshakes, balloons and chocolates, and could befit from major discounts on Nestle Svelty milks.

Consumers are encouraged to be a part of the activity on Facebook via the Nestle Milks page. The team will be at Bounty Grove (June 24), Bounty Kitty (June 25), Budget Supermarket (July 1), Andrews Supermarket (July 2), Survival Supermarket (July 15), R. Tularam and Sons (July 22), Massy Stores (July 22), Rams Supermarket (July 23), Real Value Supermarket (July 29) and at N&S Mattai (July 30).
